The Lonely Snowman

This little snow man is the last of our Christmas decorations. I left him up because I thought he was cute and wintry. He used to be part of a whole shelf display of snowmen, but now he is hanging out with the family pictures. This is very troubling to Isaac. "Mama, the little snowman is really lonely, he really needs his family. He needs his Mommy and Daddy and his brothers and his Baby Amelia." I assured him that the snowman's family still loved him even when he was far away. He was not lonely. Isaac was unimpressed by this explanation. "Well, they are really lonely for him." It goes both ways in a family, even a family of snowmen.

Creation

Isaac loves to create things. Paintings, playdoh sculptures, cookies, messes. He got playdoh for his birthday yesterday, and he spent the whole day with it. He is incredibly creative. All of my kids are. The fingers in this picture have been playing with watercolors and playdoh in a 5 minute period. It feeds his little spirit to create things, as it does for all of us. I love to create too, at this point in my life it is mostly dinner, or clean laundry, or the blog, or babies. I love thinking of creativity as more than crafts. Watch this movie, and then go create something.
